If you want the rewards, you gotta work hard! As I have mentioned before about the gym being my second home, I actually just got back from a workout in the varsity weight room. Let's just say my legs are sore thanks to my friend Hillary, and my arms are sore thanks to my friend Sloth (Steph).
I have, however, discovered and learned to love a workout called aquajogging. It is a no impact cardio workout that track athletes normally do. I do look VERY ridiculous in the pool with a lifejacket belt type thing and physically running in the pool (without my feet hitting the bottom). Unfortunately I do not have pictures or videos of me aquajogging, and even if I did I probably wouldn't put it up :-p
Here is the type of belt you wear in the pool... and like I said, you just run in the pool... except it is very disheartening when you move turtle pace...
So if you see someone like me working out in the pool, don't judge! ha
Other news, research on nanotechnology is going well. Currently we are taking and editing videos of professors to put on the website.
NANOTECHNOLOGY FUN FACT = As you read this sentence, your fingernails will have grown 1 nanometer!
since I have been talking about my obsession with the gym... I used to be a competitive weightlifter when I was in high school.
Lastly, keeping with my motivational quotes for the summer (they keep me focused at least when I am training to get in shape for field hockey preseason)...
"I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.'" - Muhammad Ali
