Earlier this week, Residence Life sponsored an event for the freshman residence halls (Hayden, Davis, and Humphreys). We had five students represent each building and showcase their creative culinary talents.
They were given 5 different topics and were asked to create a dish that embodied that meal. All the food was provided and the event was held in the Pierce Dining Hall. However, there was a stipulation that they could not use any food or other objects from Pierce itself. They also could not cook any food and wre given a time requirement as well. The goal of this event was to showcase their creativity and teamwork skills by arranging the food.
Yours truly was one of the judges for the event :)
I must admit that I was impressed. In the end it was very close to decide who would be crowned the victor. After much deliberation the winner was:
HUMPHREYS HALL!
(Davis Hall finished closely behind!)
