Stevens students have known this for years, but a new study confirms it: candidates with technical degrees have an advantage in the job market.
“New college graduates may be entering the worst job market in decades, but there are still some majors that pay off – and all of them are in the applied sciences,” reported The Wall Street Journal last week. The article is based on a new report from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) which found that eight of the top 10 best-paid majors are in engineering, while the other two are computer science and information sciences.
